The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame

Nominate

The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, Inc.

We are currently seeking nominations for the 2023 Hall of Fame.

Each year qualified senior citizens are inducted into The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame (MSCHF) based on their outstanding contributions as volunteers to improve the lives of others in the community.

The MSCHF Executive Board urges all former inductees, nominators and friends of MSCHF to seek out new senior volunteers from across Maryland who deserve to be recognized in 2023 for their unselfish giving back to their respective communities.

After two years without having an induction luncheon because of COVID-19, the Executive Board in 2022 revived the practice of honoring seniors in person for the many accomplishments achieved in their communities. The maximum number of inductees was reduced to 25. Our previous venue had closed, but we have found a lovely place that is reasonably priced and reflects the geographic center of Maryland — The Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville, MD. On October 20, 2022, twenty-one seniors were inducted into the Hall of Fame, representing communities and organizations from eight counties and Baltimore City.

Again, we encourage you to seek out senior volunteers who deserve to be recognized in 2023. In making a nomination, please refer to the documents (see the link below): the nominee qualifications required, nomination procedures and a nomination form. Nominations must be received by April 14, 2023. The 2023 Induction Luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 19, at The Ten Oaks Ballroom in Clarksville, MD.

Our Selection Committee reviews the nomination forms and selects a maximum of 25 nominees to be presented to the MSCHF Board for approval. Approved nominees are inducted into the Hall of Fame at our Induction Luncheon in October. Nominees receive a complimentary ticket to the luncheon, a membership certificate, a MSCHF lapel pin and a copy of the Blue Book that includes a photo of each honoree with a summary of their volunteer services. Of these honorees a maximum of three may be selected to also receive the GERI Award given for extraordinary volunteerism.

For more information about our organization and nomination forms, please send an email to mschf.mail@verizon.net or call 410-828-5852 or visit our website at https://mschf.org/.

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 14, 2023.

Please consider nominating a deserving senior volunteer or passing this nomination packet on for use by an interested person. Your interest and support are greatly appreciated!
