The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame

Beginning in January and ending on April 10, The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, Inc., (MSCHF) seeks nominations of senior citizens for induction into the Hall of Fame. Nominees must be residents of Maryland, age 65 or over, who are active volunteers, and who have made an outstanding contribution to improve the lives of others in their community since age 65.

It is our goal to have 100% participation by all Maryland counties and Baltimore City, but your assistance is needed. Please consider nominating a qualified senior citizen. Nominee qualifications and nomination procedures are included in the nomination form (see link below). If you have questions, please send an email to or call 410-828-5852. The deadline for submitting nominations is April 10.

Each year qualified senior citizens are inducted into The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame based upon their outstanding contributions as volunteers to improve the lives of others in the community

Our Selection Committee reviews the nomination forms and selects up to 50 qualified nominees to be presented to the MSCHF Board for approval. Approved nominees are inducted into the Hall of Fame at our annual awards luncheon held in October. They receive a complimentary ticket to the luncheon, membership certificate, MSCHF lapel pin, and a copy of the Blue Book that includes a picture of each honoree and a summary of their volunteer service. Of these honorees, a maximum of five may be selected to also receive the GERI Award given for extraordinary volunteerism.

Your interest and support are greatly appreciated.
